JAKARTA - East Ventures, a leading venture capital (VC) company, and the Temasek Foundation, are again holding the third edition of the Climate Impact Innovations Challenge (CIIC) 2025, Indonesia's biggest climate technology innovation competition.

After its success in 2024, CIIC 2025 again empowers technology innovators to showcase sustainable innovation, and fight for a total prize of IDR 10 billion.

This year, CIIC 2025 focuses on three tracks, namely:

Energy Transition: The ideas and innovative solutions that encourage the adoption of renewable energy, sustainable mobility systems, and resource efficiency, which support cost-effective inclusive energy transitions, which benefit communities and industries by significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Sustainable Agriculture: The ideas and innovative solutions that encourage sustainable food systems, agricultural practices or aquatics that are able to adapt, and natural-based solutions that can implement inclusive strategies and can be developed that improve the quality of life of farmers and fishermen, maintain food security, restore ecosystem balance, and significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Circular Economy: The ideas and innovative solutions aimed at increasing waste and water circulation as well as helping adapt to climate-related disasters, thus preventing and managing pollution, improving public health, increasing resilience to the impact of climate change, and significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

With the emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) as a driver of innovation, CIIC 2025 is also looking for solutions that use AI to solve problems on these three tracks.
