OpenAI Announces Wiser GPT-4.5, But Controlled By GPU

JAKARTA - OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, in a post on X on Friday, February 28, announced that their latest AI model, GPT-4.5 is ready to launch.

Altman stated that the GPT-4.5 model provides a more natural experience and feels like talking to someone wise, it can even give you good advice from an AI chatbot.

However, there are major challenges in its launch. Altman admits that GPT-4.5 is a giant model that requires huge computing resources.

He revealed that OpenAI experienced GPU limitations which prevented them from directly launching this model to all user levels simultaneously.

Therefore, to overcome this problem, Altman added, the company plans to add tens of thousands of GPUs in the near future and launch the GPT-4.5 first to ChatGPT Plus users next week.

In addition, because the GPT-4.5 offers a unique experience, it warns users that this model is not designed for high-level reasoning or traditional AI benchmark testing.
