Google Will Add A Transcript Feature To Gemini Live

JAKARTA Google will bring a new feature to Gemini Live. This feature is designed to help users who want to give voice commands in noisy environments or users with hearing loss.

Currently, Gemini Live can only respond in real-time sound. Users can see Gemini's response in the form of text when exiting the Live view. This method is quite easy, but Google will make the feature more efficient.

In the Google beta app version 16.6.23, based on Android Authority findings, Gemini Live will offer a written response as well. That way, during the conversation, users will hear Gemini speak and display the text at the same time.

This is a good change as some users may find it difficult to hear Gemini's response, but they cannot give orders in the form of text. If this feature is launched, the user experience will increase.

This real-time transcript feature will appear in the form of a button so that users can set whether they will see or not the transcript. To view text on the screen during the conversation, the user must activate the button.

This button is in the upper right corner of the screen. This feature is bound by the Text Preferences option in Settings so that Gemini users can adjust the size or style of the text they see. If you don't want to see the transcript, this feature can be disabled.

Keep in mind that the new Gemini Live transcript feature is available in beta releases and it is not certain when Google will launch it. It is possible that the feature will be released in the near future or even will never be released to users.
