Apple Will Launch New ICloud Service Named 'Confetti'

JAKARTA Apple will launch a new service from iCloud under the code name Confetti. This service will offer the ability to invite people to various events, from parties to meetings.

According to a Bloomberg report, this service is different from the calendar although its function is almost similar. This new service is also part of Apple's efforts to overhaul their calendar applications. If possible, the service will be released as early as the second week of February.

The launch of Confetti appears to be related to the iOS 18.3 update that began rolling out at the end of January to a number of iPhone and iPad users. Once the iOS 18.3 update is widely available, users may be able to access the new service.

Unfortunately, there is not much information about this new service. However, Confetti was revealed when 9to5mac discovered the service beta code at iOS 18.3. From the results of code analysis, it was revealed that Confetti was designed to hold meetings.

Users can also create other face-to-face event invites through the Invites app. In fact, Apple-made Calendar can also invite events like this, but Invites will provide additional features that may not be available on the Calendar.

For example, Invites can show a list of people invited to the event and who has confirmed their presence. Unfortunately, it is not yet clear whether Invites will become an independent application or be part of another system like iMessage.

Integrated Invites apps directly with iCloud and Apple will create a website version on iCloud.com. That way, not everyone can access the app except those that subscribe.

In addition, Invitites is also integrated with the latest iOS 18 daemon called GroupKit. This background running program is used to manage a group of people's database. Invites will be the first application integrated with the daemon.
