JAKARTA - Resilience to water and dust is often a weakness for folding devices. Although solutions to dust are still difficult to find, Oppo hints that Find N5 and OnePlus Open 2 will have extraordinary water resistance.
In the video uploaded on Weibo, Zhou Yibao of Oppo shows Find N5 the basic device for OnePlus Open 2 which is soaked in water and even used underwater. Yibao claims that Find N5 will be the only foldable device with IPX6, IPX8, and IPX9 certifications.
IPX9 exceeds the IP68 commonly found in devices such as OnePlus 13, with support for high-temperature water and stronger water bursts.
