Starship Wahana Disappears When SpaceX Holds Seventh Flying Test

JAKARTA SpaceX held its seventh Starship flight test on Friday, January 17 in Boca Chica, Texas. The Starship driver was caught by Mechazilla, but the space company lost its Starship vehicle.

The launch of Starship initially went smoothly at around 05.38 WIB. Almost nine minutes after the launch, problems in the Starship were detected. This board seems to have an anomaly as SpaceX admits it lost contact.

The six Starship rapper machines were on when they entered the climbing burning stage. However, when Starship entered the final stages of the arson, the engine on the telemitry died and SpaceX lost contact. It is not yet known why this problem could occur.

One hour after launch, SpaceX explained that they would find out the cause of the failure of the burning process until they lost Starship. As long as the problem is reviewed, SpaceX may be monitored by the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA).

"Starship experienced an unscheduled rapid demolition during the burning while boarding. The team will continue to review the data from today's flight test to better understand the root of the problem," SpaceX said via the X account, previously Twitter, officially.

Although not in line with what was expected, the launch this time did not completely fail. The reason is, SpaceX managed to capture the Super Heavy booster using Mechazilla, a tower in the form of a giant robot designed to capture spacecraft.

When viewed from the video that SpaceX shared, Super Heavy managed to get down to Mechazilla's arm so that the booster could be captured. With the success of this booster capture process, SpaceX said that, "Today's flight will help us improve Starship's reliability."

After the launch was complete, SpaceX immediately reviewed the data and looked for the root cause of the problem. The company owned by Elon Musk promises a thorough investigation. SpaceX also intends to establish good coordination with the FAA in implementing corrective action.
