JAKARTA OpenAI launched a new feature for ChatGPT named Tasks. This feature launched in beta is designed to remind users of what is needed in the future.
In addition, the Tasks feature is also created to carry out the same activity repeatedly. For example, users can submit weather search results every morning. Automatically, ChatGPT will provide the search results according to the specified time.
In addition, users can also schedule search results related to the recipe they want to cook the next day. That way, users no longer need to search independently because ChatGPT will immediately display the desired results.
This is a new way to interact with ChatGPT. OpenAI seems to deliberately present this feature so that users can interact with its chatbot more often than cellphone assistants such as Siri or Google Assistant.

This feature is only available for ChatGPT users who subscribe to Plus, Team, and Pro packages. If you have a subscription, users must select '4o with a scheduled task' to use this feature.
From the view of the Tasks feature shared by The Verge, users will be asked to enter their task name, desired instruction or what to look for, as well as a schedule such as how many times the search results will be displayed and when a search is needed.
After creating a task, ChatGPT will display notifications on connected devices, such as websites, desktops, or mobile apps. It is not yet known when the feature will be released in a stable version and whether the feature will be available to users for free.
