Apple Renews Patent For Folding IPhone, Reveals Hidden Screen Details!

JAKARTA - The Cupertino giant, United States (US), Apple is known to be planning to launch a foldable iPhone. Where the company has filed several of these patents recently.

The move signaled that Apple was really serious about launching its foldable phone. The patent covers a foldable iPhone that will feature a sliding body and flexible screen.

But now, Apple has updated one of the patents for its folding iPhone design. Previously, the patent was entitled "Electronic devices having expandable sliding screens."

Reporting from Gizmochina, Saturday, October 9, and now, the company has reportedly rolled out an update that includes reducing some key details, but giving more changes to some other parts. The overall design remains the same. The patent describes a folding iPhone that, when stretched, reveals screen details that were previously hidden. "A portion of the flexible screen can be stored in the interior area of the case when the case is not expanded," Apple explains.

The patent description also adds that in the unstretched state, the flexible screen may have one or more indentations and may duplicate itself one or more times.

It is possible that Apple is already working on a prototype of the foldable iPhone, and has already produced the data necessary to amend the patent granted after testing. Unfortunately, it can't be concluded that the company will use a sliding design in the final product.

Just like the previous foldable iPhone design, in this version Apple involves the intervention of three inventors, including one of them, Michael B. Wittenberg.

However, Apple fans will have to wait for when Apple will launch the folding iPhone, and even then it is not known for sure when. Previously, reports from Bloomberg stated that the folding iPhone might only be launched in 2 to 3 years.
