JAKARTA - Hackers have managed to tamper with Twitch over the past few hours, replacing some of the game's background images with photos of former Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.
Some users have reported seeing images of Bezos in the games GTA V, Dota 2, Smite, Minecraft, Apex Legends, and more on the Amazon-owned service.
Unfortunately, it's not clear how this incident happened, and whether it was related to the massive security breach on Twitch earlier this week.
More Twitch shenanigans are afoot. All game directory header pictures on the Web version of Twitch are now showing a closeup picture of Jeff Bezos. It's been like this for the last 2 hours. pic.twitter.com/LcKP9jGMCC

Where hackers exploited server misconfiguration, stole 125GB of information and uploaded it on 4chan forums.
Twitch is still investigating the breach, and so far the leaked data includes the website's source code, unreleased projects, and even how much Twitch has generated in the past three years.
Meanwhile, quoted from The Verge, Saturday, October 9, Twitch confirmed there was no indication that the user's login credentials were exposed. Because, the full credit card number was stored elsewhere, so it couldn't be hacked and exposed.
One former Twitch employee warned that attackers could now see shortcuts and APIs for Amazon's internal services thanks to this leak.
It's entirely possible that the leak revealed some code that would allow people to easily change the background image on Twitch.
Or maybe the incident this time was caused by a cache error. Be aware, Twitch relies on a different method to cache images, and it may run into issues.
For your information, Twitch is one of the world's top streaming sites, with around 2.5 million people watching the stream at any given moment.
The platform has become popular as a platform for gamers to share live streams as they play video games, giving viewers the opportunity to discuss what's happening on screen and pay for it via subscriptions.
The site has grown into a place where people make cooking tutorial videos, vlogs, and just chat, although playing games remains a huge draw. The company was acquired by Amazon for $970 million in 2014.
