JAKARTA - A few months ago Netflix announced plans to add game streaming to its service early next year, and apparently it will start with mobile games first.

Citing Gizmochina, Friday, August 27, today Netflix Gaming is debuting in Poland with two mobile games titled Stranger Things. However, the new company is exclusively rolling out for current Android users.

Spanning two Stranger Things games: 1984 and Stranger Things 3, the game will appear under a new tab in the Netflix mobile app. From the screenshot attached to the company's announcement on Twitter, users must first install the game to play it, and it cannot be streamed.

After the user clicks install, they will be directed to the Google Play Store from within the application. Once the download is complete, users will be asked to sign in with their Netflix account before they can start playing.

It should be noted, when a user installs the game through the Google Play Store, the game will not be available in a standalone application on the phone. This is because users can only play games from within the Netflix application.

"It's still very, very early days and we have a lot of work to do in the months ahead," Netflix said.

What Netflix offers now is a way to play games without any download fees. It is known, Stranger Things 3 is available on Nintendo Switch but is priced at 9.99 US dollars. Netflix subscribers will be able to play the game for free with no ads and no in-app emblem purchases.

The Verge reports that this isn't the first time Netflix has experimented with games. The streaming service has previously offered Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, Minecraft: Story Mode and Carmen Sandiego: To Steal or Not to Steal.

The company had several Stranger Things projects in the works with Telltale, the creators of The Walking Dead, before the studio retired. Unfortunately, Netflix didn't reveal when their subscribers outside Poland or on different device platforms could try out the new experience.
