JAKARTA - Microsoft's plan to bring Xbox Cloud Gaming to many devices or multi-device seems to show the green light. Starting the 2021 holiday season, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will have access to cloud gaming on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One consoles.

The announcement was made during the Gamescom showcase, as quoted from Engadget via Yahoo, Wednesday, August 26. The company says users will soon be able to run more than 100 games without having to download them first. In the future, Xbox One owners will be able to play some of the X/S series games via the cloud, such as Microsoft Flight Simulator.

In addition, users will also know which titles are compatible with cloud gaming if they see the cloud icon next to them in the Game Pass library. The software giant is targeting gameplay to run at 1080p at 60 fps.

Xbox Cloud Gaming is now available on phones, tablets, and PCs. Microsoft is working on an Xbox game streaming stick and a cloud smart TV game app. On PC, the service is accessed via Edge and Chrome. For iOS it can be accessed via Safari. Users can also use the controller via Bluetooth or USB to play the included games.

This summer, the company began transitioning cloud gaming to the larger Xbox Series X hardware after launching the service on Xbox One S-based blade servers.
