JAKARTA - Instagram will launch various advertisements in its Store feature globally. The proprietary app, which belongs to the Facebook Inc network, said Tuesday, August 24 that it is trying to get more revenue from brands hoping to reach new customers.

Instagram Shop is a tab on a photo and video sharing app that allows users to browse items such as clothing and beauty products.

The company started testing ads earlier this month with a select few advertisers, but the feature is now open to brands globally wherever the Instagram Shop is available.
