Fizi's Apology And Clarification For Offending Upin & Ipin

JAKARTA - Recently, the fictional character Fizi from the cartoon series Upin & Ipin has gone viral in the Indonesian timeline. His statement about heaven caused controversy and made the two twin boys from the neighboring country sad.

This problem began with an episode of the cartoon Upin & Ipin, entitled Syahdunya Syawal and aired during Eid. At that time, Upin, Ipin and Fizi were gathered at the courtyard of the surau, and listened to Mail's story that she couldn't play with her peers because she had to help her mother for Eid.

When hearing Mail's explanation that heaven is at the sole of the mother's feet. Suddenly, Upin and Ipin asked what if they didn't have a mother. Mail did not have time to answer, Fizi replied and said that if there would be no heaven for those who no longer have mothers.

Obviously, Fizi's remarks made the twins sad. Moreover, Upin and Ipin are orphans and are cared for by their grandmother and older sister.

The cut from the episode of Upin and Ipin suddenly became a trending topic on Twitter timelines. Various comments from netizens colored Fizi's chatter that saddened Upin and Ipin.

Hearing that his name was widely blasphemed and trending on the timelines of Indonesia and Malaysia, Fizi had made a Twitter account @fizithekid and published a clarifying statement. He was also invited to Deddy Corbuzier's YouTube podcast to clarify his statement that had saddened Upin & Ipin.

Recently, Les' Copaque Production, the production house of the cartoon series Upin & Ipin, actually uploaded a video of Fizi's apology for his viral remarks some time ago. The 46-second video was uploaded to the official YouTube channel featuring the character Fizi apologizing to Upin and Ipin.

Of course, as friends, both Upin & Ipin forgave Fizi's words. Moreover, in the video, Fizi burst into tears and regretted his insensitive words to his friend.
