JAKARTA – Igor and Grichka Bogdanoff claimed to have helped Satoshi Nakamoto in the Bitcoin creation project in its early days. Although Satoshi's identity was not revealed, the Bogdanoff twins claimed to have a role in the development of the Bitcoin cryptocurrency.

On the other hand, there is a joke that the Bogdanoff brothers have the power to manipulate the crypto market. The joke came after memes of the twins went viral on the internet a few years ago. In the meme image, one of the Bogdanoff brothers is doing a massive dumb down of the crypto market.

According to a Bitcoin.com News report, twins Igor and Grichkan Bogdanoff have been interviewed by L'Heure des Pros about their meme. Both of them were aware of the meme and explained that Satoshi Nakamoto played a big role in the viral meme.

“Maybe it was Nakamoto who made [the Grichka Bogdanoff meme] circulated,” said Igor Bogdanoff.

“[The image] was on all blockchains between 2010-2012 [and] was downloaded more than 1.3 billion times,” added Igor.

For information, the Bogdanoff twins are known for filling the science television show called "Time X". Igor and Grichka Bogdanoff are no ordinary people, both are well-known science essay writers since the 1970s. Igor has a degree in theoretical physics, while Grichka has a doctorate in mathematics.

The two reveal how they teamed up with touchscreen inventor François Mizzi and an eye-catching Japanese scientist nicknamed “Soïtchiro Shimoda.”

Igor and Grichka describe their early days discussing ideas about blockchain technology and crypto assets with Shimoda on a regular basis. To this day, the Bogdanoff family believes Shimoda has something to do with the mythical “person or group” who created Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto.

The Bogdanoff twins reinforced their point by saying that Shimoda gave them two “ancient Bitcoins” in early 2008.

“Igor and I, as mathematicians, were able to participate in the elaboration of some [Bitcoin] source code, especially the 'predictive code',” Grichka Bogdanoff told his interviewer.

In addition to having Bitcoin, both of them also claim to have another crypto currency, namely Ethereum (ETH). Although known for the memes and conspiracies surrounding the two, the twins are planning to launch a new crypto asset called Exo Coin in the near future.
