As the name suggests, Google Maps Insights provides statistics about a user's journey. These statistics can tell users about their Maps-related habits and help them make changes to their daily commute to reduce time stuck in heavy traffic.

The data gleaned from Insights can also give users a broad picture of their travel habits. This app will tell users how much time they have spent walking, driving or cycling. It will also keep track of the places you have visited.

How to use Google Maps Insight

Google Maps always records user activity, so Timeline is nothing new. But the feature received a recent design change that includes improved Insight functionality.
