This Is The AIRCAR Flying Car That Will Be The Vehicle Of The Future

JAKARTA – Flying car developer, KleinVison has successfully tested AirCar. In this experiment, the flying car managed to fly for 35 minutes with the flight route from Nitra to Bratislava, Slovakia.

The AirCar flying car was designed directly by KleinVision CEO, Stefan Klein. The AirCar, which uses an engine made by BMW, flies at a cruising speed of up to 170 km/hour.

AirCar has a way of working as an airplane. The flying car must use the runway to take off and land. The boss of KleinVision revealed that his flying car can fly up to 1,000 km with an altitude of 2,500 meters.

AirCar can accommodate two passengers with a maximum weight of 200 kg. AirCar development took 2 years and cost less than 2 million euros.

The AirCar flying car has a look that is not much different from a car in general, it's just that it has an additional "tail" that is quite large on the back.

The car has folding wings on both sides that will spread if it is in the air. Both wings of the flying car will open within 2 minutes 15 seconds before flying.

KleinVision's flying car design won praise from Stephen Wright, a senior research fellow in avionics and aircraft at the University of the West of England.

"(Like) a combination of a Bugatti Veyron and a Cessna 172", said Wright.

However, Wright also still doubts the AirCar flying car. He said he had a hundred questions about AirCar certification. The senior researcher added that currently, anyone can build airplanes or flying cars. A successful airplane can be used continuously for millions of hours without having an accident.

"I can't wait to see the certification that says it's safe to fly and safe to sell", Wright said.

One of the advisers and investors at KleinVision, Anton Zajac revealed the sale of AirCar in the future. According to him, if the company can take 5 percent of the airplane market share, then KleinVision will have a large market.

“There are about 40,000 aircraft orders in the United States alone. And if we take 5 percent of the airplane market share, we have a big market", Zajac said, quoted by the BBC.

KleinVision is not alone in realizing the vehicle of the future. Hyundai and Uber also have the same goal in presenting flying cars that will enliven the vehicle industry in the future.
