JAKARTA - Privy as the leading Electronic Certification Provider (PSrE) in Indonesia recorded an increase in electronic signature activity in the first quarter (Q1) 2026.

Throughout Q1 2026, Privy recorded more than 32 million signatures, an increase of almost 250% year-on-year, compared to Q1 2025 which only had 10 million signature activities on its platform.

Responding to this achievement, Privy CEO, Marshall Pribadi said that this reflects the increasing need of the public and business actors for a fast, safe, and can be done from anywhere administrative process.

Demographically, the industry is driven by a number of sectors such as electronic signature activity in Privy financial technology lending (Peer-to-Peer/Paylater), telecommunications & IT, and financial services (multifinance, leasing, and banking).

"However, outside of that industry, several other industries such as health and education are also at the top with the most signature activities," said Marshall.

Beyond the achievement of the Privy, Marshall emphasized that improving education and literacy for the community is still not complete and still needs to be intensified.

According to him, there are still many people who underestimate the role of signatures on digital documents by manually scanning from paper and smartphones, then attaching it to the document.

"In fact, this routine is high risk in terms of legal validity and potential manipulation by other parties. Therefore, Privy continues to intensify education regarding the importance of signing digital documents legally," he said.

By continuing to prioritize education, in the future, Privy is optimistic that the increase in electronic signature activity will continue to increase.

"We are optimistic that next year, electronic signature activity at Privy can double in 2027 and triple in 2028," concluded Marshall.
