JAKARTA - In the Huawei Cloud AI Boost Day event with the theme "Agentic AI Practice" held in Jakarta, Huawei Cloud launched a Model-as-a-Service (MaaS) service for Indonesia.
This launch marks an important step in driving the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) by businesses in Indonesia, while reaffirming Huawei Cloud's position as a key driver of high-performance, secure, and sovereign AI capabilities in the region.
Leveraging the advantages of its proprietary acceleration engine, Huawei Cloud MaaS enables enterprises to shift from conventional cloud migration to AI-driven business mastery.
This platform provides one-click access and out-of-the-box hosting models, which effectively remove technical barriers to large-scale AI adoption and build a robust foundation for digital innovation.
Huawei Cloud Indonesia CEO, Leon Fang, said that this transition reflects the transformation that is taking place in the industry at large, where business organizations are beginning to utilize AI as active 'digital workers' that are deeply integrated into the company's workflow, rather than just a tool.
"Our goal is to make AI as easy and reliable as electricity services, empowering industries in Indonesia to work smarter and innovate faster through a secure cloud native infrastructure," he said.
To realize this vision, Huawei Cloud has integrated six world-class open source models from the world-class GLM, DeepSeek, and Qwen families, which are optimized for two industry pillars, namely Intelligent Q&A and AI Coding.
