JAKARTA - Alibaba.com has officially launched its Trade Assurance service in Indonesia, to support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in expanding their reach to international markets.
Through the Trade Assurance service, Alibaba.com is committed to providing a safer and more trusted digital trading environment for local business players.
"Alibaba.com hopes to become a trusted partner for Indonesian SMEs so that exports and expansion into foreign markets become simpler and more reassuring," said Head of South and Southeast Asia at Alibaba.com, Roger Luo, at the Trade Assurance launch event in Indonesia on Wednesday, April 15.
In addition to providing order protection, Trade Assurance allows sellers to manage the transaction process more smoothly within the platform.
With the support of a secure payment system and a clearer transaction flow, this service helps increase operational efficiency while maintaining a sense of confidence in global trade.
Trade Assurance also comes with features to identify potential buyers who are at risk, so as to support better risk management from the beginning of the transaction.
"We help companies break through traditional export barriers through functions such as AI, digital marketing, and online transactions," added Roger.
By processing orders through Trade Assurance, participating MSMEs can build a strong, verified online credit rating.
Data from the Alibaba.com platform shows that suppliers with Trade Assurance get three times more traffic, in the form of reviews, clicks, and questions, compared to suppliers who do not use Trade Assurance.
