JAKARTA - WhatsApp is introducing a series of new features to help users stay organized, divide their time between work and personal life, or get the most out of every chat.
Some of the new features range from storage management, cross-platform chat transfer, to AI integration in conversations.
Storage Manager
Now you can find and delete large files directly in the chat so you can delete unnecessary things without deleting the entire conversation.
Just tap the chat name, then select Manage storage. You can also choose to only clean media files when cleaning chats so that chat history is still saved.
Cross-Platform Chat Transfer
The WhatsApp chat transfer feature can now move chat history from iOS to Android, in addition to the same platform. With just a few taps, your conversations, photos, and videos will be easily transferred.
Two Accounts, One Phone Coming to iOS
Now you can have two WhatsApp accounts logged in at once on iOS, just like on Android. No longer need to carry two phones to separate work from personal. You always know which account you're using because your profile photo will now be visible in the bottom tab.
Sticker Customization
Now, WhatsApp will make it easier to use by suggesting it when you type an emoji. With just one tap, you can exchange emojis with stickers that capture your feelings.
Enhanced Photos with Meta AI
With this update, you can use Meta AI to beautify photos directly in the chat before sending them. This makes it easy for you to remove something that bothers you, change the new background, or apply a fun style. The Meta AI feature may not be available to all users.
AI Writing Assistance
Writing Assistant can now create suggested draft responses based on conversations, so you can get the right message, while keeping the chat private.
This feature is being rolled out and will be available to everyone soon. We hope this update makes WhatsApp easier to use.
