JAKARTA - The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is one of the most advanced chipsets used in Android devices. With the sophistication offered, this chipset is only used in high-end phones.

This chipset offers exceptional performance, high energy efficiency, and superior Artificial Intelligence (AI) support. Only a few months after its launch, various mobile phone manufacturers have adopted Qualcomm's latest chipset.

Here is a list of devices that have used the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, both those released last year and this year.

Samsung: Galaxy S26 Ultra, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 (certain regions). Xiaomi: Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17. OnePlus: OnePlus 15. iQOO: iQOO 15 Ultra and iQOO 15. Realme: Realme GT 8 Pro. POCO: POCO F8 Ultra. Nubia: RedMagic 11 Pro+, RedMagic 11 Pro, and Nubia Z80 Ultra. Honor: Honor Magic 8 Pro and Honor Magic 8.

Xiaomi 17 is the world's first phone to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. This was soon followed by the OnePlus 15 which came a month later as the company's most premium device.

Samsung also did not miss out by launching the Galaxy S26 series in February 2026 which brings innovative features such as Privacy Display. However, the use of the Snapdragon chipset on the S26 and S26+ models is limited to the US, Canada, Japan, and China.

Next, the Nubia RedMagic 11 uses the chipset to optimize gaming performance. Meanwhile, the Nubia Z80 Ultra is provided for users who want high specifications, but not for gaming.

iQOO 15 and iQOO 15 Ultra use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 to offer more mature AI capabilities. Unlike POCO, this phone offers top-notch technology, but at the most affordable price.

Honor also increased competition through the Magic 8 series which highlights high-level camera and data processing capabilities. The use of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 ensures that the device is able to run heavy applications with a stable temperature.
