JAKARTA - The Pokémon Company officially announced that their latest game, Pokémon Champions, will be released on April 8, 2026 for Nintendo Switch as well as iOS and Android mobile devices.

This battle-style game presents the classic Pokémon battle experience with mechanics that fans are familiar with, such as Pokémon types, Abilities, and various moves that allow for more varied battle strategies.

In addition to the standard version, there is also a bundle package of Pokémon Champions + Starter Pack which includes the main game as well as a number of in-game bonuses, such as additional Pokémon storage capacity and extra battle songs.

Meanwhile, the company also revealed that Nintendo Switch 2 users will also get free updates that bring sharper graphics quality.

One of the flagship features in this game is cross-platform support, which allows players to fight across devices between consoles and mobile.

Not only that, the game is also integrated with Pokémon HOME, so players can bring certain Pokémon from previous games, including from Pokémon GO.

In terms of content, Pokémon Champions introduces a number of new Mega Evolutions that previously appeared in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, such as Mega Meganium, Mega Emboar, and Mega Feraligatr.

Mega Meganium has the "Mega Sol" Ability which allows the move to be used as if in extreme sunny weather. Mega Emboar is equipped with the "Mold Breaker" Ability which makes its attacks ignore the opponent's Ability. Meanwhile, Mega Feraligatr has the "Dragonize" Ability which turns Normal type moves into Dragon type and increases its power by 20 percent.

Pokémon Champions also provides various game modes, ranging from Ranked Battles for competitive players to Casual Battles for a more relaxed playing experience.
