JAKARTA - ZTE Corporation in collaboration with XLSMART officially launched the commercial service of XL Ultra 5G+, which has obtained certification from Ookla as "The Fastest 5G Network in Indonesia, H2 2025."
As a strategic partner of XLSMART, ZTE provides comprehensive support to help XLSMART deliver the best 5G experience, while driving overall network capabilities and commercial value.
The XL Ultra 5G+ service adopts a Blanket Coverage strategy that aims to provide uninterrupted 5G connectivity throughout Indonesia, so that high-speed access can be enjoyed by XLSMART customers evenly.
In live testing, the XL Ultra 5G service showed peak downlink speeds of up to 769 Mbps, with an average user experience speed exceeding 500 Mbps.
This capability enables smooth 4K/8K video streaming, cloud gaming, and AR/VR applications, while demonstrating the superior performance of the 5G network.
With this launch, ZTE together with XLSMART has also completed the construction of the 5G network in 24 out of a total of 33 XLSMART 5G cities in five major regions, including Surabaya, Semarang, Medan, Makassar, and Balikpapan, by January 2026.
This achievement places XLSMART as the first operator in Indonesia to present national-scale 5G network coverage.
