JAKARTA - Smartphone manufacturer iQOO has started teasing the market with its new device, iQOO Z11, which is confirmed to come with a 165Hz gaming screen and a very large battery capacity, reaching 9,020 mAh.

The details were announced by iQOO product manager Xing Cheng during the company's 7th anniversary celebration. He said the battery is the largest ever used in the history of the iQOO smartphone.

The device is scheduled to launch later this month and is projected to be a strong competitor in the mid-price segment.

According to Xing Cheng, iQOO Z11 is targeted to be the top choice in the 2,000 to 3,000 yuan price range or around 290 to 434 US dollars. In this segment, this device will likely compete with a number of other mobile phones that also offer large batteries.

One of his competitors is the Realme P4 Power from Realme which was just introduced with a 10,001 mAh battery.

The presence of the iQOO Z11 has previously been detected in the SIRIM certification database with the model number I2512. The document confirms that the device will be marketed as the iQOO Z11 5G.

The same model number also previously appeared in the IMEI database, strengthening indications that the device is being prepared for a global launch in several markets.

In China, two new devices from Vivo with model numbers V2551A and V2547A also appeared in the 3C Certification database. One of the models is believed to be the iQOO Z11.

The certification list shows support for fast charging up to 90W, which means the device will likely come with a fast charging adapter with that power.

Based on rumors circulating, the iQOO Z11 is expected to use an LTPS screen with a resolution of 1.5K. The screen size has not been officially revealed, but the panel is expected to be designed to support a high-refresh-rate gaming experience.

The device is also said to use a mid-range chipset, although the details of the processor used have not been announced. For comparison, its predecessor, the iQOO Z10, was launched with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset.

In addition to the Z11, iQOO is also preparing another model in the same series, namely the iQOO Z11x. The device is scheduled to launch in India on March 12 with a large 7,200 mAh battery.
