JAKARTA - Tokocrypto welcomes the positive steps of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) which is preparing new rules to regulate the activities of social media influencers in the financial services sector, including crypto assets.

Some important points regulated include the obligation to include a disclaimer of risk, a ban on promoting illegal entities, and competence standards for parties that provide information to the public.
Calvin assessed that the rules would help build a more responsible standard of communication and reduce the potential for misleading information, including excessive claims, promotions without risk explanations, and marketing that is not transparent.
"Tokocrypto supports the principle of the obligation of risk disclaimer and the prohibition of the promotion of illegal entities, because it is in line with the goal of strengthening consumer literacy and security," he added.
With this POJK, OJK hopes to have clearer authority to sanction influencer practices that violate provisions, including in the digital financial asset sector.
