JAKARTA - As the use of artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots to find information becomes more massive, Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital, Nezar Patria, reminded that AI must be trained with accurate and reliable data.

According to Nezar, without proper data training processes, AI systems risk producing biased and misleading answers, especially on sensitive issues, one of which is religious teachings.

Wamen Nezar also appreciated the efforts of the platform developers who mitigate risks by preventing AI from answering sensitive and critical questions, one of which is Aiman and Aisha, an Indonesian Islamic AI platform.

"This is good, so there is already a kind of risk filter for sensitive and somewhat critical questions, he will immediately suggest asking the Ustadz and others," said Nezar, quoted on Thursday, March 5.

Nezar hopes that the Aiman and Aisha platform can be a good breakthrough in the use of AI in the religious field.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Lazismu PP Muhammadiyah Management Board, Ahmad Imam Mujaddid Rais, explained that the current generation Z and millennials often seek answers to religious problems through search engines on the internet.

Unfortunately, sources and references on the internet are often not completely true and accurate.

"The presence of Aiman and Aisha enriches the Islamic treasure in the community to produce a harmonious understanding of religion," said Ahmad.

Ahmad also asked platforms to complement data with various references to books and fatwas of scholars so that they can provide more complete and accurate information for their users.
