Null Games and Mommy's Best Games announced that their latest game, ChainStaff, will be launched on April 8.

When it launches, the game will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, for $14.99 or around Rp251 thousand.

ChainStaff offers a brutal platformer action experience with a spear as the main weapon that can change shape and also function as a grappling hook.

The game tells the story of how Earth is conquered by alien creatures called Star Spores, which turn life on the planet into horrible insect monsters.

Here, you'll play as a soldier who must survive, fight against a horde of mutations, and face a large-scale boss fight.

ChainStaff's gameplay focuses on the use of versatile weapons that can be thrown as spears, worn as shields, to be used to swing over obstacles. Each choice will affect the course of the game and the ending obtained.

ChainStaff also promises a unique visual experience through 10 hand-drawn levels inspired by the covers of rock albums from the 70s and 80s.

Not to forget, the game also comes with a classic metal soundtrack by award-winning composer Deon van Heerden, who was previously known for his music for Broforce and Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef.
