The most complete iPhone Fold leak appears to the public: Move button, camera changes, largest battery

JAKARTA - Almost all of the specifications of the iPhone Fold are rumored to have leaked to the public. If this leak is accurate, Apple's first folding phone will appear with a bold design approach, ranging from an unusual button layout, a new camera design, to the largest battery ever installed in an iPhone.

Until now, rumors about the iPhone Fold have focused more on the screen and the shape of the fold. However, the latest report from the Instant Digital account on the Chinese social media platform, Weibo, claims to have complete details about other aspects of the device. Instant Digital is known to have a relatively solid track record in leaking Apple products, and the latest information is still considered reasonable by observers.

According to the leak, Apple will move the volume button from the left side to the top right of the device. The sleep or wake button remains on the right side, just like the current iPhone. This means that all of the iPhone Fold's physical buttons will be concentrated on one side only.

This step is not just about ergonomics. With all the buttons on the right side, users no longer need to reach the opposite side when the phone is opened. From a technical standpoint, Apple also does not need to pull the control circuit line across the folding screen, something that could increase the complexity and risk of a flexible panel.

The same leak says Apple will let the left side of the iPhone Fold be completely "clean", without any buttons. The motherboard is said to be positioned on the right side, while the left side is maximized for the screen and battery. This strategy is believed to be the key to why the iPhone Fold will be equipped with the largest battery in iPhone history.

The approach is reminiscent of Apple's internal design changes in the iPhone 17 line, where the motherboard position was changed to make more room for the battery.

In terms of cameras, the iPhone Fold is said to have two rear cameras arranged horizontally. This leak is one of the most complete so far, although it still needs to be treated with caution.
