One UI 8.5 is Coming Soon, Here is the Estimated Update Schedule and Complete List of Samsung HPs that are Eligible

JAKARTA - Samsung is reportedly getting closer to launching One UI 8.5. This latest interface is still based on Android 16, but uses a newer QPR2 build, allowing Samsung to bring in more in-depth system features than One UI 8.0.

One UI 8.5 has been available in beta for a number of Galaxy devices for some time and is now said to be waiting for the release of the stable version. This update is not just a small update, because it brings many new improvements that make the system more flexible, the display more attractive, and improved security.

Although Samsung has not released an official list, Galaxy devices that have received One UI 8.0 or launched directly with One UI 8.0 are almost certainly going to get the One UI 8.5 update, because both are based on Android 16.

If your Galaxy device is on the list, it will most likely receive the One UI 8.5 update. However, users are still advised to wait for Samsung's official announcement for final confirmation.

When will One UI 8.5 be released? Samsung is said to officially release One UI 8.5 in conjunction with the launch of the Galaxy S26 series, which is scheduled to take place at the end of February. Sales of the device are expected to begin in early March.

A few weeks later, Samsung will start rolling out One UI 8.5 to previous generation Galaxy devices. A number of reports say the process of distributing this stable update is likely to begin at the end of April.

Currently, the One UI 8.5 beta program is still limited to the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. The first beta was released in early December, followed by several subsequent updates. Samsung has not expanded the beta program to other devices, so most Galaxy users will likely receive the stable version immediately.

Flagship devices such as the Galaxy S25, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are predicted to be the first to receive the final version of One UI 8.5, before finally following up to mid-range and entry-level models.
