JAKARTA - Developer FYRE Games announced that it will release its latest psychological horror game, Project Songbird on March 26, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via the Steam platform.
Project Songbird is a cinematic narrative horror game with a first-person perspective developed by Conner Rush with his studio, FYRE Games, which was previously known for the games Summerland and We Never Left.
Here, you'll play as Dakota, a professional musician who is at a creative impasse, and decides to isolate himself in a cabin in the remote Appalachian woods to record his next album.
"Enjoy this gripping story, explore the dreamlike environment and landscape that haunt, and fight for survival in this short horror experience," reads the game's description.
FYRE Games says Project Songbird offers a four to five hour play experience with a focus on a dark and enigmatic narrative.
The game also features cinematic-style visuals, a close-range and long-range combat system with upgradable weapons, and a permadeath mechanic that makes every player's decision have major consequences.
In terms of audio, Project Songbird is supported by a line-up of renowned voice actors, such as Valerie Rose Lohman, Jonah Scott, and Aleks Le. It is also equipped with a dynamic soundtrack worked on by Jacob Noska, Jonah Henthorne, and Erwin Dorsainville from the band Auric Echoes.
