JAKARTA - The X social media platform has tightened its policy on the use of Grok by restricting the creation and editing of images of people wearing bikinis.
In its official statement, X confirmed that it would not tolerate photo editing containing child sexual abuse content (CSAM) and nudity without consent.
"We also report accounts that seek child sexual exploitation material to law enforcement if necessary," wrote the platform owned by billionaire Elon Musk.

As part of the update, X is now implementing technology that prevents Grok accounts from editing images of people in revealing clothing. This restriction applies to all users, including paid customers.
In addition, the feature of creating and editing images through Grok on the X platform can now only be accessed by subscribed users.
According to X, this policy aims to add a layer of protection while making it easier to track and hold accountable parties who try to abuse the service to violate laws or platform policies.
"This adds an additional layer of protection by helping ensure that individuals who try to abuse Grok accounts to break the law or our policies can be held accountable," the company added.
X also announced the implementation of geographic blocking (geoblocking) against the feature of creating images of real people with minimal clothing in regions or countries that legally prohibit the practice.
X also admitted that his security team continued to work around the clock to add additional protection and take quick and decisive action to remove content that was violating or illegal.
X will also permanently suspend accounts that violate it if necessary, as well as cooperate with local governments and law enforcement if necessary.
