Google announced the launch of a chat history feature for all NotebookLM users. This feature can be accessed on all platforms, from the web version to the mobile application version.

With this update, users can continue their research sessions on different devices without having to start from scratch. Previously, conversations on this Artificial Intelligence (AI) based learning assistant were not synchronized between devices.

This integration is sure to maintain the context of the research being conducted. For example, if the user initially uses a mobile phone to conduct research, they can immediately see the session that is being carried out when opening a laptop.

Through its official account, the NotebookLM team explained the ease that users get through this feature. They guarantee a seamless transition between the mobile application and the web interface for all users.

"Start a session in the app and continue on the web without interruption. Want to start a conversation again? You can delete your chat history at any time," NotebookLM wrote via its official account on X, quoted on Friday, December 19.

Google also provides privacy assurance for those who work using shared notebooks. Private chats will not be visible to others even if the source document is used in a group.

This update is an important step for Google in strengthening the position of NotebookLM as an AI-powered research tool. The company continues to commit to improving the user experience through features that will be available in the future.
