JAKARTA - Publisher Warner Bros. Games and developer Avalanche Software announced that their game, Hogwarts Legacy, has achieved great achievements with total sales that have exceeded 40 million units globally.
Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world action RPG game adapted from the Harry Potter universe. The game was first released on February 10, 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
Over time, the game was expanded to other platforms, including PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in May 2023, Nintendo Switch in November 2023, and Switch 2 in June 2025.

Based on a Bloomberg report at the end of March, Hogwarts Legacy has sold more than 34 million copies. With this latest achievement, the game managed to add about six million sales units in the last nine months.
Under the Portkey Games label, Warner Bros. Games has teamed up with Avalanche Software to develop Hogwarts Legacy as an open-world RPG set in the 19th-century wizarding world.
The game features an original story that puts the player as a fifth-year student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft.
Throughout the game, players can explore various iconic locations, interact with magical creatures, concoct potions, master various spells, improve character abilities, and customize their appearance and play style according to their preferences.
In addition to classes and spells, players will have access to a deep set of upgrades, talents, and skills to help their progress as a wizard.
