JAKARTA - Ahead of the Christmas and New Year period, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison ensured network readiness by increasing network capacity by 20% compared to the daily average.

This reinforcement is supported by more than 210,000 4G and 5G BTS, as well as several Mobile BTS (MBTS) spread throughout Indonesia, to anticipate a surge in data traffic at the end of the year.

Network optimization is also carried out at more than 500 main activity points, ranging from airports, ports, shopping centers, places of worship, to tourist destinations, as well as on 55 travel routes such as toll roads, inner city roads, and train lines.

All network monitoring and management processes are centralized in the Digital Intelligence Operation Center (DIOC), an AI-based operations center that provides comprehensive automation.

Through DIOC, the system can adjust network capacity adaptively and in real-time, ensuring that services remain optimal according to the needs of people throughout Indonesia.

"In the midst of this increasing need, we are trying to provide a truly reliable service," said President Director and Chief Executive Officer of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, Vikram Sinha in his statement.

To strengthen operational readiness, Indosat not only activates independent posts, but also participates in the Joint Post established by Komdigi at a number of points with high customer visitation rates.

This post will operate from December 19, 2025 to January 4, 2026 to ensure effective coordination and rapid response during the year-end holiday period.

The initiative will be officially launched through a release ceremony on December 19, 2025 at the Komdigi office, which marks the start of increased oversight and cross-functional collaboration during the period.
