JAKARTA Apple added many interesting features on iOS 26, one of which is the creation of a new event in Calendar. Users can now add events to the calendar via screenshots.

This new feature is supported by Visual Intelligence which is upgraded to all iPhone models compatible with Apple Intelligence. This feature utilizes AI's ability to understand the visual context in the image.

Previously, when taking screenshots, users would see thumbnails floating. However, now the screenshot will display the catch on the full screen by default.

These changes affect the way users add events to the Calendar app. When taking screenshots containing event details, iOS 26 will detect them, then lure the labeled button Add to the Calendar.

When clicking on the button, the user will see an accurate preview of the event that will enter the calendar. If all the details are accurate, the user only needs to click the Create Event button.

If there are details that need to be changed, there is an Edit button that will open the standard event creation panel in the Calendar app. This feature is very useful for changing which calendar you want to add.

For users who are used to using third-party applications, this feature can still be utilized. With this feature, the action of adding events to the Calendar will feel more efficient because users no longer need to open other applications.
