JAKARTA Google will add new capabilities to Circle to Search. Later, this feature can detect suspicious messages or web content and lead to fraudulent attempts.

The addition of this feature is driven by increasingly sophisticated fraud. Google realizes that cybercriminals are getting smarter in using the Artificial Intelligence (AI) model because digital fraud looks more subtle and difficult to recognize.

Therefore, there needs to be a special tool that can detect this digital-based fraud effort. With Circle to Search, users can circle messages or other collections of text that they find suspicious.

Once the text is circled, the AI Overview will automatically open at the bottom. If detected as a fraud, the AI-based summary will provide details as to why messages or content being twisted are part of fraud.

AI Overview will also provide guidance and suggestions for further steps that need to be taken to respond to the scam content. For Google, the details provided by AI Overview can calm users from disturbing text messages.

"You will see a useful AI summary, supported by information from all over the web," Google said, quoted on Wednesday, December 3. In addition to being present at Circle to Search, the ability to detect these fraud attempts will also be present on Google Lens.

The detection of this new scam in Circle to Search will be rolled out globally. Google says that this feature will emerge throughout the country 'when our system has high confidence in the quality of its response'.
