JAKARTA Google will invest heavily in overhauling User Experience (UX) from the Gemini app. This was conveyed by Google employees in a post on platform X.
Initially, a former Google employee, Raisa Martin, was seen criticizing the UX chatbot on X, formerly known as Twitter. He said that the front end problem made him switch to a competing chatbot, namely ChatGPT.
Martin also revealed that Google employees were reluctant to do front-end engineering work. This statement was also responded to by Logan Kilpatrick, Google Product Leader of AI Studio. Logan said that Google was doing a 'big investment'.
This investment was made for a new project called Gemini App UX 2.0. This shows that Google will bring a major overhaul to Gemini, both in terms of appearance at the interface and experience its users feel.

Kilpatrick added that his team is in development of macOS' special Gemini app. By developing this new type of app, Google shows that they want to expand Gemini's reach.
On the other hand, the Android Authority has reported major changes to Gemini's overlay for months. Through the dismantling of the APK, it is known that Google is developing a new compact overlay interface.
This interface is designed to interact with Gemini Live. It looks like Gemini Live will get the same changes as the voice chat display on ChatGPT. Recently, the OpenAI chatbot made the voice chat look one with the text.
