Samsung Confirms Galaxy Z TriFold Launch Date, Ready To Release On December 12

JAKARTA Samsung has finally revealed the launch date of its newest foldable phone. The device, called Galaxy Z TriFold, will be present in mid-December in South Korea.

The phones, which have been on display since the start of this year, will debut on December 12 in South Korea. After that, the device will be launched in China, Taiwan, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the next batch of launches.

The device will also be released in the US, but its launch will be a little late. The launch of this device will be delayed until the first quarter of next year. Samsung has not disclosed a launch date in a country other than Korea.

This phone will only be present in one color choice, namely Crafted Black. For the detailed leak, this phone will run Android 16. The most prominent feature of this foldable phone is the addition of the second hinge.

With this hinge, the inner screen can be expanded up to 10 full inches when opened. The 6.5-inch outer screen is mounted on the middle panel on the back of the device. For internal specifications, the device is quite similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

This phone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor paired with 16GB RAM. Although thin, TriFold uses a slightly larger battery, which is 5.600 mAh. The rear camera configuration includes a 200MP main sensor, 12MP ultra wide lens, and 10MP telephoto.

In addition, there are two 10MP selfie cameras for the inside and outer screens. The design of this device is claimed to be very slim because when it is folded the thickness is only 12.9 mm. This thickness is much thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 5 released by Samsung two years ago.
