YouTube TV Finally Recovered The Missing Unvision Channel For Almost Two Months

JAKARTA - After almost two months of absence, YouTube TV has finally restored TelevisaUnivision's channels that had been missing since late September. This recovery ended the long-negotiation deadlock between YouTube TV and the Spanish-language broadcasting company.

In recent months, YouTube TV has often faced contract disputes with large canal owners. Previously, this service had clashed with NBC Universal and even had time to cancel Disney's channels for several weeks before the new agreement was reached. However, unlike the two cases, the absence of the Univision channel lasted much longer nearly two months.

TelevisaUnivision is the owner of the Univision channel, UNIMbaryS, TUDN, and Galavision totaling all of which are now confirmed to be back on YouTube TV. These channels first joined the service in 2021, opening access to Spanish content for more than 50 million Spanish speakers in the United States.

Although YouTube TV provides many other options including special Spanish-language packages, the absence of these core channels remains a major blow to users.

Now, it is certain that the situation will not be repeated in the near future. TelevisaUnivision confirmed that they have reached a long-term agreement' with YouTube TV, which guarantees that these channels remain available to customers in the coming years.

This recovery marks the end of one of the longest service layoffs in YouTube TV history, providing relief to users who rely on the Univision network as the main source of Spanish entertainment, news and sports content.
