Xiaomi 17 Ultra Comes With A Photography Kit Similar To A Mini Camera Rig

JAKARTA - The latest leaked image shows Xiaomi 17 Ultra along with a special photography kit designed to improve the photography capabilities of the cellphone. Interestingly, this leak also denied previous reports that said the phone would carry four rear cameras.

The image that appears shows a three-camera array, with an iconic round camera module that still retains the design of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. From the leaks circulating, Xiaomi 17 Ultra appears to be present in beige/gold and black colors.

The Xiaomi 17 series was actually released in China, but the global launch is still a matter of time. Of the three existing models "Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro," and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max "it is estimated that only the standard model will debut globally, along with one long-awaited new model, namely Xiaomi 17 Ultra.

The latest leak not only shows the rear camera design, but also provides a detailed overview of the Xiaomi special photography kit that appears to make this phone look like a mini camera rig.

The leak shows that Xiaomi 17 Ultra uses a triple camera configuration, not four. The large round camera module is maintained, giving a strong Ultra series impression. The reduction in the number of sensors is referred to as a strategic step to optimize the focal length and the actual size of the sensors needed, not just increasing the number of cameras.

On the back, the phone appears with a textured panel, while the photography kit looks blended in color with the device's body. The kit also has physical buttons that are likely to be used to set the camera settings when shooting, making it more practical for users who want to experience professional photography.

During the development stage, Xiaomi reportedly tested various sensor configurations with the code name Nezha. However, the final specifications are estimated to include a 50MP OVX10500U main camera, a 200MP S5KHPE telephoto camera, and a 50MP OV50M or 50MP S5KJN5 ultrawide camera.

While the front camera is estimated to have a 50MP OV50M resolution. The absence of the fourth sensor does appear to be a decline, Xiaomi is believed to make up for it with sensor quality and software optimization. Leica Branding is still present, ensuring the quality of premium photography is maintained.

Outside the camera sector, Xiaomi 17 Ultra is also present as a flagship device with high-end performance. The phone will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, promising premium performance across all lines. The HyperOS 3 operating system will be a software base that offers a smoother experience.

For the global market, Xiaomi 17 Ultra is said to be bringing satellite communication features as added value. The phone is expected to debut in China before the end of the year, before finally being introduced globally.
