JAKARTA - Google announced that they currently have a feature that allows Quick Share to connect with AirDrop, making it easier for users to share files between Android devices and iPhones.
Previously, Airdrop on Apple devices could only share files with other Apple devices, and Quick Share could only be used on other Android devices.
"However, we hear that many people want an easier way to share inter-device files. Today, we introduced a way for Quick Share to work with AirDrop," Google wrote in an announcement on its official website.
However, the search giant said that the Quick Share feature compatible with AirDrop started today only for the Pixel 10 family, including the Pixel 10 Pro.
Nevertheless, Google ensures that this new capability is built with high security standards that have been tested by independent experts to protect user data during the transfer process.
The move is also cited as part of Google's ongoing efforts to improve compatibility between operating systems, having previously expanded RCS support and presented a warning system for unknown trackers.
