Qualcomm Ready To Release Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 In China On November 26

JAKARTA Qualcomm confirmed the launch date of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. A lower version of the 'Elite' series will be launched for the first time in China on November 26, 2025.

Although the specifications are below the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, this regular version of Gen 5 is still included in the high-end category. This means that the features brought are still quite sophisticated and may be found in a number of Android-based flagship devices.

Some time ago, Qualcomm has revealed few specifications of this latest processor. Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 will be 3nm in fabrication. This processor will also use the Oryon CPU core specifically for optimal performance.

The main core is reported to have a clock of 3.8GHz, while the core of its performance reaches 3.32GHz. Meanwhile, previous leaks also revealed that this processor will use the Adreno GPU 840.

The Adreno 840 GPU is based on the same IP as the Elite GPU, but with slightly lower performance, which is only 1.2GHz. Even lower, this processor still provides experiences such as flagship phones as a whole.

In the leaked benchmark results, this processor managed to score more than 3.3 million AnTuTU scores. In Geekbench 6, as reported by Gizmochina, this processor scored around 3,000 points for single-cores and 10,000 points for multi-cores.

The first phone that will certainly use this new processor is the OnePlus Ace 6T which will be released this November. Next, the S50 Pro Mini vivo will be present using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 in December.
