Blue Origin Delays Second Launch Of New Glenn Rocket Until November 12

JAKARTA Blue Origin decided to cancel the launch of the second New Glenn. The giant rocket was supposed to launch on Sunday, November 9, 2025.

According to the company's report, there are a number of underlying factors for the cancellation of the launch. Some of the confirmed factors are problems with space weather and minor technical problems on the runway.

Although the problem is not too big, Blue Origin does not want to take the risk while still launching its rocket. Jeff Bezos' space company has set a new launch date for New Glenn's second flight mission.

This rocket is targeted to take off on Wednesday, November 12. The latest launch window will open at 14.50 ET (02.50 WIB on Thursday, November 13) until 16.17 ET (04.17 WIB, still at November 3).

At this second launch, Blue Origin wants to launch a New Glenn without problems as at the first launch. When releasing the rocket for the first time in January 2025, the launch did not go as expected by the company.

New Glenn actually successfully reached orbit. However, the booster exploded and failed to land on the unmanned ship in the ocean. Blue Origin hopes to land the rocket booster for the first time on this second flight.

The second launch will also be New Glenn's first commercial mission. The rocket is scheduled to carry NASA's ESCAPADE spacecraft to Mars. New Glenn also brought tech demonstrators to Viasat as part of another NASA project.
