JAKARTA Apple added a new capability to its music streaming app. Through the iOS 26.2 update, Apple Music will get a direct lyric sharing feature to WhatsApp Status.

For those who don't know, WhatsApp Status is a feature similar to Stories on Instagram and Facebook. Through this feature, users can share photos, videos, voice records, to text and uploaded after 24 hours.

Sharing song lyrics to third-party apps has been around for a long time on Spotify, but it's something new for Apple Music users. Once this feature is officially launched, Apple Music users will no longer be left behind by their competitors.

Previously, Apple Music users only had standard sharing support. The resulting Status update is also less attractive so that not a few are urging Apple to increase its sharing ability at Apple Music.

Fortunately, this pressure was listened to by Apple. Given that this integration is still being developed and can only be seen in the iOS 262 beta 1 update, users will have to wait a few more months to access the feature.

Once this feature is launched, users can tap the Lyrics Section and select the WhatsApp Status option. Next, select several lines of lyrics that you want to share directly.

Another important thing to note is that this feature requires subscriptions. If you don't subscribe to Apple Music, you won't be able to share the lyrics easily to WhatsApp Status.
