JAKARTA Netflix updated their television experience for children's profiles. This globally launched update focuses on design and navigation, as well as content search calls.
This is a follow-up to Netflix's profile update in May 2025. At that time, Netflix launched an update on the TV homepage for standard profiles. The company also launched AI-based search and recommendation features.
Now, the update is starting to expand for children's profiles. Launching from TechCrunch, this update presents a new design that makes the display simpler.
In addition, this redesign also includes a new navigation bar at the top of the screen. This bar is directly connected to 'My Netflix', a section that brings together all content in one place, both watched, saved, and liked.

This section makes it easier for users, especially children, to revisit their favorite films and episodes. Netflix will also update recommendations in real-time on a child's profile, similar to the capabilities already in the standard profile.
Netflix hopes that the launch of this feature can reduce children's viewing time. Despite major changes, some important parts in the Child's profile will not be removed. Features such as Line Bertema Characters, Mystery Box suggestions, and parental controls will remain available.
The new user interface is also associated with a wider content change on Netflix. This interface is designed as a more flexible canvas for different types of creative content, including future interactive content.
