JAKARTA Spotify officially updated its app on Apple TV. In this update, Spotify offers a faster and smarter experience, including launching podcast videos and music videos.

This feature has just rolled out in the early stages so that only a few users can access its features. In the future, all users can access this feature if they have updated the application via the App Store.

Devices that use automatic updates are expected to get the new feature in mid-November. In addition to adding visualization support, these updates will also address confusing navigation issues and missing features.

Currently, watching music videos on Spotify isn't yet available in the US or Canada. However, this feature has been expanded to 97 different markets around the world with limited catalogs for Spotify Premium subscribers.

The music video feature can be accessed using the 'transfer to video' command on the playback page. The podcast that offers the video version can also be opened in the same way. This feature will include the option to adjust the playback speed.

The updated Spotify Apple TV app also adds features such as queue management and smooth playback. Users can also access song lyric features, AI-powered Spotify DJs, and control playback from mobile devices via Spotify Connect.

Previously, the Spotify podcast studio announced its latest partnership with Netflix. They will bring 16 series of video podcasts to the video streaming platform in the US starting in 2026. This includes The Bill Simmons Podcast and sporting events.
