JAKARTA - Anthropic introduced Claude Code on the web, a new feature that allows users to delegate various programming tasks directly through the browser without the need to open the terminal.
This feature comes in beta as a research preview, and is aimed at helping developers handle tasks such as bug fixes, routine work, to parallel development in the cloud.
With Claude Code on the web, you can immediately start coding without the need to open the terminal. You just need to connect your GitHub repository, explain project needs, and Claude will handle its implementation.
"Every session runs in its own isolated environment by tracking progress in real-time, and you can actively direct Claude to adjust the direction as he does the task," the company wrote in its official announcement.
Interestingly, apart from the web, this feature will also be present in the iOS application as part of the initial trial, so that developers can programming from mobile devices anytime and anywhere.

Git's interaction is carried out through a safe proxy service, ensuring Claude can only access official repositories. The web version of Claude Code is currently available to Pro and Max package users, and can be accessed via the clause.com/code site.
"This is a preliminary preview, and we hope to immediately perfect the cellular experience based on your input," he concluded.
