Kyocera DuraXV Mobile That Can Be Invited To Wash Hands

JAKARTA - Since the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, people have paid close attention and maintained cleanliness. Even if necessary, items such as cellphones are also washed with soap so that they are clean from viruses and disease bacteria.

Launching from PCMag, a clamshell design cellphone called the Kyocera DuraXV is claimed to be wet and washed with soap. Not only that, this cellphone made by Kyocera International Inc, is also resistant to impact and extreme weather.

"The DuraXV Extreme is made for reliable communication tools in tough working conditions. The new Kyocera Powerhouse is military standard and is equipped with IP68 waterproof protection. It is ideal for construction workers, government and medical personnel," wrote Kyocera promoting its product.

Although it is not a smart phone with many features. This tough device from North America is still equipped with an open-source Android operating system to support its main function as a communication tool.

Carrying a foldable or clamshell cellphone, the DuraXV still has physical buttons which are equipped with a screen measuring 2.6 inches. Although relatively small, this phone supports navigation, e-mail, and chat applications.

As a tough phone, the DuraXV is certified with the military standard MIL-SPEC 810G which makes it resistant to dust, shocks, rain, low pressure, solar radiation, humidity, and hail. There is a removable 1,530 mAh battery to support cellphone durability for up to 18 days.

Kyocera is also not stingy about pinning a tough cellphone with a 5 MP resolution camera and an LED flash. Although the features are limited, this phone uses the MSM8909 chipset with a speed of 1.1 GHz and 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory.

Although it is not a public cellphone that is sold in the market. Kyocera sells the DuraXV at a price of 240 US dollars or around Rp. 3.7 million.
