Shiba Inu Listing On Indian Crypto Exchange, When Will Indodax And Tokocrypto Enter?

JAKARTA - Nicknamed "Dogecoin Killer", Shiba Inu (SHIB) reportedly took the floor on the Indian crypto trading platform, WazirX. The Mumbai-based crypto exchange listed Shiba Inu on its trading list last Thursday. Until now, the price of Shiba Inu has decreased as is the price of Dogecoin (DOGE).

WazirX CEO, Nischal Shetty stated that the high market demand for Shiba Inu made him present SHIB on its platform.

"We received a request from our community to present SHIB at WazirX, therefore we decided to include it in the list," said Shetty as quoted by CoinDesk, Tuesday, May 18.

Previously, the WazirX crypto trading platform registered Dogecoin on April 1. At that time, DOGE was traded for around Rp. 840 to Rp. 1,000. Since April until now the price of Dogecoin has increased by six times.

Even though the SHIB token is already available on WazirX, the crypto trading exchange has not been able to accept Shiba Inu from other wallets. They also said that WazirX does not yet provide Dogecoin Killer's withdrawal service.

The entry of SHIB to WazirX occurred after Ethereum boss Vitalik Buterin made a donation of 50 trillion SHIB worth US $ 995 million to the India Covid Relief Fund to help victims exposed to Covid India.

The donation attracted the attention of various well-known Indian media such as the Indian Express, Mint, and the Economic Times.

"As soon as he (Vitalik Buterin) made a donation to the public, 'memecoin' holders started panicking and the cryptocurrency price started to fall," wrote Indian Express in its report.

CoinGecko reported last Thursday that the SHIB token has fallen by 40 percent. This week, another crypto exchange in India, CoinDCX, is also reportedly starting to include SHIB on its list.

However, it is not yet known whether SHIB will soon be listed on crypto trading platforms in Indonesia or not.
