Samsung President Leaks Possible Release Of IPhone Fold In 2026

JAKARTA Rumors about the folding iPhone are getting stronger after Samsung Display President, Lee Cheong, gave a signal that his party is preparing to produce a folding OLED screen for a client from North America. Speculation immediately led to Apple.

Cheong menyebutkan bahwa perusahaannya sedang meningkat persiapan untuk memproduksi panel OLED lipat generasi terbaru. Meski enggan menyebut nama perusahaan yang dimaksud, banyak pihak menilai Apple adalah calon paling kuat.

Citing Chosun Biz's report, the 8.6 generation OLED panel is scheduled to enter production stage in the third quarter of 2026. This time coincides with the period when Apple usually begins to increase production for the latest iPhone line launched in the fall, to be precise around September.

If true, this step further strengthens the allegation that Apple is preparing an iPhone Fold to be released in the late half of 2026. The presence of this device is said to be a major milestone, following previous rumors that the iPhone Air was just a trial' towards a folding iPhone era.

Although Apple has not provided official confirmation, the statement from Samsung Display officials has sparked enthusiasm as well as speculation among fans and technology analysts.
